About us

GadgetInfoGuide publishes buying guides for the gear that protects your home and your car: security cameras, CCTV systems, video doorbells and dash cams. Our job is to make one decision easier: which product to buy, and what it will really cost you over the years you own it.

Who we are

The site is run by a small editorial team with a background in installing CCTV and vehicle tracking systems for homes and businesses. That work shapes what we pay attention to: where the cables actually go, what fails after a hot summer, which apps people end up hating, and which “free” features disappear behind a subscription.

How we research

Our guides are researched, not lab tests. We compare manufacturer specifications and support documents, read independent reviews and owner reports, and list every source at the end of each guide. Where we add our own practical advice from installation work, we say so. When we have hands-on tested a product, we will say that clearly in the guide. Read the full research method.

How we make money

When you buy through some links on this site, we may earn a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra and it never decides which products we recommend. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.
